Wellacre's Year 7 football team have been crowned Trafford Division 1 Champions after completing an outstanding league campaign with a perfect 100% winning record.

The team have enjoyed a remarkable start to their time at Wellacre, winning all five of their league fixtures and establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the competition. Their impressive performances saw them score 26 goals while conceding just four throughout the season.

Their title-winning campaign included victories against AOM (2-1), BTH (4-1), Sale High (8-0), Wellington (6-2) and Sale Grammar (6-0), demonstrating both attacking flair and defensive resilience.

The achievement is a testament to the players' hard work, commitment and teamwork, as well as the dedication shown by staff in supporting the squad throughout the season.

To recognise their success, the team were invited to a special Winners' Brunch on Wednesday morning, where they enjoyed warm waffles and drinks before being presented with their well-earned Going for Gold tickets.

Everyone at Wellacre is incredibly proud of the boys and their achievements. Winning a league title without dropping a single point is a fantastic accomplishment and an exciting sign of what this talented group can achieve in the future.

Congratulations to our Trafford Division 1 Champions! ????⚽????????
