WELLACRE - Hate Crime Awareness Week

Celebrating our Community

WELLACRE welcomed our local neighbourhood Police officers, PC Colebrook and PCSO Clarke to inform and engage our students during Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Through lively conversation and discussion with the officers, our students were provided the opportunity to challenge their own perceptions, thinking about the ways they can promote tolerance and help to celebrate community that is diverse and respectful of others.

Greater Manchester Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd: “Hate crime destroys lives and divides communities. It has no place in Greater Manchester – a proud, diverse region that welcomes people who stand for hope, not for hate, no matter who they are, where they’re from, who they love or what they believe.
