At Wellacre Academy, our careers programme covers 17 areas of learning linked to our core aims. Through a range of visits, lessons, speakers, experiences and resources, students are supported to explore career pathways, build skills, and make informed decisions about their futures.
We have created a bespoke programme for each year group, ensuring these areas are embedded and that your son receives high-quality information to help him make the right choices about his next steps.

Greater Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc) Year 2 Pilot
Wellacre Academy's Careers offer is further enhanced through participation in regional initiatives. The Greater Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc) Year 2 pilot, led by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is a city-region programme that gives young people a clearer line of sight from education into local careers by linking curriculum learning with real jobs, technical skills and employer-led opportunities across key growth sectors.
