Mr Thomson, Director of Transition, said:

“Wellacre’s Primary Transition Day treated our local primary school pupils to a day in the life of a secondary school student here.  From participating in practical science lessons, to learning new sports and really experiencing new subjects, the day was a real success. It was also an opportunity to meet new friends and teachers.”

Primary Transition Day marks the start of a programme of educational events throughout the academic year focused on supporting pupils through the transition process.  The aim of the programme is to provide opportunities to experience life and lessons at secondary school and to help ease any concerns about the transition process.
