A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Year 9

Year 9 students were excited to return to the theatre, when ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’  came to Manchester recently.

On 23rd June, a group of Year 9 English and P6 Drama club students travelled into the city centre to a pop up, open air theatre in Manchester's Home ground.

The trip was highly anticipated as it was the first theatre trip for all involved, since before the March 2020 lockdown.

The Lyric Hammersmith and Filter Theatre Production, offered a riotous version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream reimagined as part of a Summer programme at Homeground.  In one of Shakespeare’s best-loved play, young lovers and warring fairies cross paths in this exciting and inventive adaptation featuring live music.
