Wellacre Shine at the Trafford Cross Country Championships

On Thursday 11th, our students took part in the Trafford Cross Country Championships, organised by Mr Linton at Crossford Bridge, alongside schools from across the borough.

 

Our athletes showed outstanding determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the day  and their efforts were rewarded with some fantastic results.

Year 7 Team Champions

Wellacre were crowned overall winners of the Year 7 team competition, thanks to three superb performances:

• Sam W – 2nd place

• Cassius H – 9th place

• Hugo T – 10th place

Year 8 & 9 Team Champions

Our Year 8 and 9 boys also secured the title of overall team winners, with strong finishes across the board:

• Blake T – 3rd place

• Josh W – 5th place

• Olly M – 9th place

Year 10 & 11 Boys

A special mention goes to Jacob W – 5th place, for an excellent run in a highly competitive field.

 

     

 

Our students represented Wellacre with pride, sportsmanship and real grit. A huge well done to every runner who took part and thank you to Mr Linton for leading the team and organising such a successful day.
