Celebrating Christmas Together

On Monday 12th December, we welcomed the return of Wellacre’s Christmas Carol Concert at St. John’s Church, Flixton.

The long-awaited event welcomed Wellacre students, staff, families and friends for a festive evening of musical performances and readings, as well as carols for the whole congregation to join in.

Wellacre’s Year 7 choir sang ‘Once in Royal David’s City,’ ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem,’ and ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ alongside the congregation but also took to the stage for a fantastic performance of ‘Silent Night’ for everyone to enjoy.

The Carol Concert was organised by Mrs Quinn, Music Teacher, and Mrs O’Neill, Leader of Humanities, and hosted by Rev. Rodney Green.  To finish the evening, Friends of Wellacre invited everyone to stay for refreshments and mince pies!

Mrs Sharrock, Principal, said:

"I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and the performance of the musicians and choir. Thank you to all those staff, parents and wider family members who joined us."
