KS4 Work Experience

A wide range of industry sectors welcomed Year 10 students for Wellacre’s annual Work Experience week.

  

The work placements, organised by students, are an excellent opportunity to explore their interests, gain practical experience, network and learn about their aspirations for the future.

Local businesses and organisations employed students for a week of workplace learning and insight into the world of work.

“Throughout the placements, our students demonstrated not only their ability to learn and apply new skills quickly but also their strong work ethic and team collaboration. Supervisors have praised their proactive attitudes, problem-solving skills, and willingness to embrace new challenges.

We are pleased to share the following student experiences and student feedback:

Harry, DN Brickwork: Harry impressed throughout his week with his timekeeping, manners, enthusiasm and commitment to the tasks at hand. Due to Harry’s impressive week and work ethic, he has been offered a job once he leaves school. 

Benjamin, Maine Electrical: Benjamin had a fabulous week and the experience confirmed how much he wants to pursue this profession. 

Kenzie KAD Developments: Kenzie’s work ethic was commended by his bosses; they said he was well mannered, listened, learned fast, showed confidence, was a hard worker and could have a laugh which is a must in life. 

Ryan and Connor, Wellacre Marketing and Comms:  The pair responded to a variety of media and marketing briefs with enthusiasm and creativity; they assisted with web content, social media campaigns, editing videos, writing news, school displays, and event photography.
