Introducing Wellacre’s Senior Leadership Team

We are delighted to announce Wellacre’s new Head Boy and Senior Leadership team for 2024/25.

  

Theo has been appointed Wellacre’s Head Boy, Calvin joins him as Senior Deputy Head Boy, alongside Bradley and Thomas as Deputy Head Boys. 

Oliver, Mohammad, Yoda, Jaidyn, Louis, Jacob, Aiden, Jonathan and Matthew complete the team as Wellacres’ Senior Prefects. 

The Senior Leadership team will play a key role in the school community and will lead the Executive Council. Each student will also take responsibility for whole school areas based on their interests and student leadership manifestos.

Congratulations to our new Senior Prefect team for 2024/25:

Head Boy: Theo 

Senior Deputy Head Boy: Calvin

Deputy Head Boys: Bradley and Thomas

Community and Enrichment: Oliver, Mohammad and Yoda (Senior Prefects)

STEM and Sustainability: Theo (Head Boy) Jaidyn, Louis, and Jacob (Senior Prefects)

Diversity and Inclusion: Aiden, Jonathan and Matthew (Senior Prefects)

The Senior Prefect team shares responsibilities for representing the school at events, liaising with staff to move forward with their specific responsibilities and working with House Leadership teams to be the voice of the Wellacre student body. 

Mrs Sharrock, Principal, said:

“The new Senior Leadership team bowled us over with their appetite for student leadership. We can’t wait to work with this exceptional team of students this year; they will be admirable representatives for the school community.”

The Senior Leadership team election process saw all candidates create a video manifesto to communicate their vision for Wellacre, which were all played to the study body.  A whole school vote took place, with every staff member and student voting for their preferred Head Boy.

Each candidate was interviewed to reflect on their Student Leadership abilities and experiences, their aspirations, and how they demonstrate Wellacre’s core values - Resilience, Honesty, Pride, Respect, Aspiration - in their learning and beyond.
