Art and Photography students enjoy life in London

WELLACRE Year 11 Creative Arts and Media students, supported by Ms. C. Niebel, Leader of Art and Ms. J. deCosta, Teacher of Art and Photography travelled to London for a research tour of art galleries and photography exhibitions. Excitedly enjoying the sights, sound, hustle and bustle of our capital city.

With visits to The Tate Modern, The National Portrait Gallery and many independent galleries our students were given the opportunity to experience a taste of the art world today and develop themselves as young artists.

Since returning our students have already begun to explore their research, sketchbooks, photographs and experience as they work hard towards their upcoming final exam and exhibition.

Wellacre and the Creative Arts and Media Faculty are continuing to support our art, photography and media students further by providing regular lunchtime and after school enrichment opportunities.
