Fourteen dedicated students have completed the Go for Growth Mentoring Programme, an initiative run by Greater Manchester Higher designed to build confidence, strengthen study habits, and raise aspirations for future education.

Over six weeks, students met weekly with a graduate mentor, taking part in focused sessions on stress management, creating a routine, and setting goals. Each session encouraged students to reflect on their personal development and build practical strategies they can use both in and beyond school.

Those who completed the programme were invited to a special celebration event at Manchester Metropolitan University. During the visit, students reviewed the progress they had made throughout the mentoring journey, explored the university campus on a guided tour, and attended an informative talk on higher education pathways and the wide range of options available to them.

The event marked a proud moment for the students, recognising their commitment, growth, and willingness to push themselves. The programme has helped them develop resilience, independence, and a clearer sense of direction for their future studies.

A fantastic achievement for all involved,  well done to our Go for Growth mentees.
