UK Maths Challenge

In Spring Term 1, Lead Practitioner of Maths Mrs Cheung organised for a team of Maths students to participate in the UK Maths Challenge. 

The UK Maths Challenge is an international Maths Challenge for students. They are given one hour to complete 25 questions without equipment such as calculators, rulers or grid papers. The questions are not based on the mathematics curriculum, therefore the questions can be anything maths related; providing further challenge to students involved.  

The event was a triumphant success, with many of our students winning awards for their high marks. Gold Certificates (72+) were awarded to Year 11 students Eshan (Best in School and scoring 111), Thomas, Benjamin and also Ewan in Year 10. Finally, the Silver Certificate (52+) was awarded to Jonathan, Hamza and Mostafa. We would also like to thank Zachary, Hashem and Aiden for their participation and hard-work.

As a result, we are proud to announce our Gold Certificate winners Eshan, Thomas and Ewan have been invited to enter the next round which will be taking place on 20th March!
