Help support our Christmas Appeal 2016

Year 9 students have helped launch a Reverse Advent Appeal for Christmas.

During this appeal our students will build a collection of goods and are encouraged to bring in an item of food or basic household goods each day instead of receiving a chocolate from their calendars.

Our students are using this project as an opportunity throughout December to develop a culture for and an understanding of helping others, especially those who may not be in as fortunate a position at this time of year. To introduce and inspire participation in this project Year 9H devised an assembly to help deliver this important Christmas message.

Our collection of goods will be donated, helping to support the Stretford food bank and will be delivered during the festive period.

All Year groups and students are very welcome to take part and contribute to this worthwhile endeavour. They may do so by handing in items to Mrs Irwin in Room 21 during Break and Lunch times.

WELLACRE would like to extend our thanks to Year 9 and especially 9H for their hard work, commitment and thoughtful attitude to others.

Please Note:

Food items should be dry and storable - cans, dried foods, cereal, biscuits etc.
Basic household items - deodorant, shower gel, toothpaste, toilet roll etc.
