WELLACRE held our annual Careers Day in March, helping to support, guide and encourage our students as they begin to think about their futures beyond our educational community.

During the event our students were given a fantastic opportunity to meet with a wide range of employers, industry leaders and providers of higher education. Each student was able to gather important information and advice whilst being invited to ask questions and discuss their future career options and learning opportunities.

Our Student Leadership team once again excelled themselves in support of our guests, working hard as a team to enable the smooth running of the day.

During the day, our Year 9 students were also invited to take part in a Resilience Careers training day and undertook a series of skill building sessions provided by: All Seas Global, Challenge for change, Manchester Metropolitan University, Kloodle and Matthew Mills.

'We work with you and your son to find the best pathway for his future after his time here at Wellacre. This support is key to Wellacre's ethos and is in place from the very beginning of year 7 all the way through the Options process and then into making choices for employment, apprenticeship or further education.'

Mr. M. Hodgson, Leader of Futures and Careers.
