The award recognises the work carried out by students as part of the co-curricular Cyber School, a Key Stage 3 computing club inviting students to explore a variety of IT topics relevant to digital life.

Sean said:

“At Cyber School I’ve learnt about new and different topics such as ethical hacking! I really enjoyed all the online challenges and building up points to achieve this award.”

Using the iDEA programme, students gained points and badges through practical tasks and activities including media, e-commerce web design and coding.

Miss Sherratt, Teacher of Computing, said:

“iDEA is a programme that can help students develop digital, enterprise and employability skills as well as industry recognised awards.  Well done to both Harry and Sean for their commitment to achieving the Bronze award.”

Harry added:

“There were a lot of challenges to complete, such as coding.  Receiving this certificate will be good for my CV and the digital skills learnt will help towards my GCSE in Media.”
