bringing out the best in boys

Welcome to Wellacre

bringing out the best in boys

Congratulations on making the decision to join us.

We are delighted to welcome you to Wellacre and we are sure that you will find your time here valuable, enjoyable and rewarding.

Over the next five years we want to build a close partnership so you will feel part of the successful family that is Wellacre. Due to the improvements in student attainment and progress, we are now an award winning school. Wellacre has been awarded two Good School Guide Awards for excellence in English Language and English Literature examination results. We have out-performed all other English schools in this category.

We have high expectations of all our students and we want your son to be successful in his studies and embrace the many wider opportunities that we have to offer. Wellacre has a reputation for success and achievement and are things that we expect your son to uphold. The more he is prepared to put into school life, the more he will get out of it. He will be given every chance to develop a wide portfolio of skills and experiences.

Your son’s approach to his learning, the grades he achieves and the standards of behaviour that he displays should only serve to enhance the reputation of Wellacre students within the local community.

It is very likely that your son spent a day with us last October along with other students from our ‘linked’ primary schools. I am sure that he gained much from the day and that his time spent with us will have allayed any possible worries that he might have about the transfer to secondary education.

He will be given the opportunity to visit us for another day in the summer term during July when he will meet his new friends in his form and have an introduction into his future lessons.

In the meantime, if you have any queries or questions about school life, education and opportunities at Wellacre, I urge you to contact me. You are very welcome to visit Wellacre at any time to see us at work. I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Wishing you every success,

Miss M Wicks
Principal
